What services are offered by Project Rachel?

• The Sacrament of Reconciliation: The central focus of Project Rachel is the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession), a privileged place of encounter with God's Mercy, the source of all healing. Through your contact with Project Rachel, you will be able to meet with a priest who will welcome and counsel you in a prayerful atmosphere of respect and sensitivity.

• Referrals for Counseling: Referral for further counseling is also available to help you find continuing support in the healing process.

• Weekend Retreats: In the fall and spring, Project Rachel sponsors a healing retreat for post-abortion women. The retreat breaks through the isolation and loneliness, enabling women to share their stories in safety and with respect. Women who have participated speak of a personal encounter with Christ and the life giving freedom of reconciling love.

• Come to the Waters of Healing: This day is designed to help women hurting from past abortions to experience the personal love of Christ and find hope for healing. It will offer a loving and confidential environment to:

  • hear stories of post abortion healing
  • share Scriptural stories of Christ’s healing love
  • spend quiet time in prayer before God
  • Sacramental Reconciliation (Confession) will be available.
