"COME TO THE WATERS OF HEALING"
POST-ABORTION RETREAT
The unique pain suffered by women after abortion often requires extensive spiritual and therapeutic support. As
part of its post-abortion ministry, Project Rachel in the Archdiocese of Boston offers a specially-designed retreat for women seeking hope and healing from abortion called "Come to the Waters of Healing".
The dayoffers a loving and confidential environment where participants can experience the love and mercy of God in a very personal way. More than 500 women have participated.
"My spirit was broken and as far as I knew beyond repair. I was living a decision that I will regret for the rest of my life. I was haunted by the choice and consumed with feelings of remorse. During the retreat, I realized the lasting impact of forgiveness. I knew God had forgiven me, and now I needed to forgive myself."

"The wound in your heart may not yet have healed. Certainly what happened was and remains terribly wrong. But do not give in to discouragement and do not lose hope. Try rather to understand what happened and face it honestly. If you have not already done so, give yourselves over with humility and trust to repentance.
The Father of mercies is ready to give you his forgiveness and his peace in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. To the same Father and his mercy you can with sure hope entrust your child.”Pope John Paul II Speaks to Women
